A desert safari in Dubai could be described as an adventurous holiday consisting of driving through the night, visiting all sorts of interesting sites such as the UAE's vast Bedouin village and the villages of Naif and Deira. There are no hotels and accommodation is usually by individual travelers. Night life is available but it is usually underground so it can be somewhat dimly lit. You can also enjoy swimming in the hot pools of the Dubai Creek.
The Evening Desert Safari in Dubai can be combined with an alfresco dinner, wine tasting and sometimes gambling in some remote locations. This sounds more like fun than a trip, though it is quite enjoyable and well worth considering. The Bedouin villages that you will see on your way to the desert are actually the traditional homesteads of the tribe. They still cook their entire meal outdoors using charcoal and fire; this helps to conserve water. The evening can start with dinner in one of the many restaurants or you can stay in one of the Bedouin campsites and enjoy the evening away from the noisy city life.
There are all sorts of other attractions to be found on a desert safari in Dubai. They include snake charmers, who use magical powers to take any wild animal, and feed them, as well as hunters who spend the night camping out in the desert. These hunters come specially trained to use their weapon on any type of animal, including the formidable camel. It is not advisable to try to feed the animals in the city; most of these animals can only be found in the wild, so don't attempt to feed them during your desert safari in Dubai. |
