В Infected Mushroom входят Erez Eizen и Amit Duvdevani (по прозвижу Duvdev). Эрез родился в 1980 году, имеет классическое музыкальное образование, учился играть на органе с четырех лет. С музыкой и компьютером он начал работать с одиннадцати лет. Эрез был членом легендарной группы Shidapu и так же работал с DJ Jorg (SST) под ником Shiva Sidpao. Он реализовал 3 диска и множество треков с этими группами. Он так же выпускался под именем I.Zen. Duvdev родился в 1974 году, имеет похожие навыки, играл 9 лет на пианино. Он увлекся новым wave/punk роком, будучи членом локальной группы в районе Haifa, которая называлась Enzyme. Играл на клавишах и написал много материала для группы. Они играли совместно с одной из групп, это была панк-рок группа из Naharia (маленький городок на севере Израиля, рядом с Ливанской границей), которая называлась Infected Mushroom, конечно же, позже это имя было унаследовано Эрезом и Duvdev'ом. Все парни из этой группы ушли в армию и группы больше не стало. За неделю до того как Дувдев пошел в армию, он впервые сходил на транс-пати (91'), и после этого он посвятил себя трансу и только трансу. Пять лет Дувдев только танцевал (и надеялся, что он получит шанс на большее), и в 96-ом когда он вернулся после одногодовалого пребывания в Индии, стал делать транс-музыку. В начале он работал с Роем (другой член Shidapu), они сделали 4 трека вместе, которые не были реализованы, Дувдев определил это как "terrible nitzhonot". Когда он услышал некоторые вещи, которые сделал Эрез, то они ему понравились. Они встретились и стали работать вместе, делать более заслуживающие внимания вещи. Тогда они начали работать с более серьезной аппаратурой и оставили сферу Impulse Трэкера. Ребята вложили деньги в оборудование и начали работать вместе под названием Infected Mushroom. Они реализовали несколько треков как Shidapu & Duvdev, которые были ориентированы более на happy и светлую сторону транса. Кроме всего прочего они сделали ремикс - Xerox- Gravity Waves (Infected Mushroom remix) (Xerox- Freestyle)- и был ремикширован - Overload (Deedrah rmx) (Trance De Eivissa, Cyber Baba 2000), Psycho (Lestat & Mael) (нереализованный еще)..
